---->1) EIR introduction for myself

Hi, I am Bao Fu from China. My English name is Geraldine. I adopted the name recently. I attend Temasek Polytechnic where I am doing Aerospace Engineering. I am putting up some personal information and views to introduce myself more in detail, so you can decide whether to make friends with me. JJJ
Part 1. My hometown
 I come from Hubei Province. My hometown is a very attractive city. First of all, it is famous for a fairytale, a love story about a fairy and an ordinary man. The fairy is the seventh daughter of a god and the god loves her very much. One day, the little fairy came to Hubei, and she met this man named “Dong Yong”. They fell in love very quickly. When the god noticed this, he was very angry and forbade their love. Consequently, the couple were separated. Now, the government has built a theme park relating to this fairytale.Many people come to visit my hometown to experience the love story in this park.

Our province is also well-known for the local dishes, such as “Spicy Duck” and “Dry noodle with sesame sauce”. If you ever visit, do try these dishes. Perhaps if I am at home, I could be your guide! (:

Part 2. Favorite singer

I like Fang Zuming, whose English name is Jaycee. If you do not know him, I am sure you know who Jackie Chan is. Jaycee is the son of Jackie Chan. Jaycee’s  debut has created much controversy. Some people think he owes his popularity to his father, but this is not true. Jaycee has tried his best to earn his own  accolades. Jaycee had his own style. He is not capitalizing on his father’s fame. One reason why I like Jaycee is that he never gives up when he is faced with challenges. However the most important reason is that I like his voice and songs. I find his songs uplifting. One song in particular “Don’t give up” encourage listeners to persevere. The MV of this song tells a story of an athlete who never give training and at last he competed in the Olympics Game. I feel that if a person can have so much courage and at last go to the stage of Olympics Game, I have no right to moan about difficulties.

                                          You can try the song I mentioned above. (:

Part 3 . favorite TV

I like to watch a Chinese TV program called “Happy Camp”. It is quite a popular TV program in China. In each show, the M.C. talks about some interesting topics. Those stories always made me laugh out loudly. I have introduced the show to pals. They all like it. Usually, when there is a popular movie on showing, “Happy Camp” will invite the major actors to their TV program and talk about their movie and any funny incidents during the making of the movie.The M.C. controls the whole situation and adds in some exaggerate facial expressions at a proper time to raise a laugh.

Part 4. Favorite chill out places
When I was in China, I used to go out for a walk after dinner with my parents. The most popular place we preferred was the unused railway which runs through a rural area and it is not far from where we live. We went to the railway to enjoy the scenery, far from the noisy city, taking deep breaths of the fresh air.

In Singapore, I like to go to Bugis. I always go there with my friends during the holidays. The National Library is nearby and that is the major reason we like to go to Bugis. Usually, we first go to the library and do some reading. The quiet environment relaxes us. I like this kind of environment because I can focus on what I am doing. After that, we may go to Bugis Junction and do some window shopping or real shopping. You know how it is when girls gather together. We love to look at every stall and check out the latest fashions. When we are exhausted, we sit near the small fountain with drinks and watch the children playing.

Part 5. Favorite internet site
I love YouTube because of the videos there. One video is about Singaporean quirks. The title of the video is “So Singaporean”. It has become quite popular recently. This video is very interesting. The boy in the video listed some scenario and responds to these scenarios which he says are “Singaporean”. In one case, he says the “primary school way of threatening someone” the Singaporean way is to telling someone “Ohol, I tell my mother”. This sounds very funny, but when I was in primary school, I also did that to threaten others! Mothers are always the bosses. You see, we did the same silly things when we were young.  This video also got me acquainted with the local people.
